Divrigi Castle Archaeological Dig project began with a survey conducted in 2006. Steady-state of the Council of Ministers in 2007, the excavation work carried out in the same year, Kale Mosque, known by the name of the church building up due to restoration activities continued. Has been started since 2009 in the area of the walls inside, studies are currently being carried out in this section.
The excavation, together with students from University of the Republic Faculty of Arts Department of Art History, Art History and Archaeology departments of various universities, students are involved.
The team, along with Archaeology and Art History Students anthropologist and Geophysical Engineers are also included.
Divrigi Castle Excavations, Republic of Turkey Carried out with the budget provided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and do not have any other support.
