The Düzce 100th Anniversary Fountain was built by the Düzce Governorship, with contributions from the Düzce Municipality, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic and the sacred memory of all our martyrs. Inspired by Seljuk architecture, the structure is constructed of travertine stone and is located in the center of Düzce, on Istanbul Street. The square-plan (5.20 x 5.20 meters) and 6-meter-high fountain, with its historically styled taps on all four sides, contributes to the city's aesthetics.
The top of the fountain features the 100th anniversary logo of the Republic and the crescent and star; above it are the Arabic text and Turkish translation of verse 61 of the Surah Al-Mu'minun. Furthermore, wooden carvings have been used on the ceiling to reflect Düzce's importance in wood production. The aim is for the fountain, built to contribute to the city's identity and architectural fabric, to become one of Düzce's lasting symbols.
