The Araboğlu Mosque, located in Karaman city center, has been built in the Karamanoğulları period between the years 1374-1420. The mosque was inspired by the Arabic architecture with its horizontal pannier-shape and short minaret. Its design was based on the understanding of a horizontal inner space. The top of the mosque has a flat timber cover. It is an elegant example of temple architecture wherein stone and wooden are used together as building materials.
