Located in the center Karaman, Karaman Citadel's construction in the late 11th century is believed to have been built in the early 12th century. Karaman castle, the interior consists of three walls. They are external, middle and inner castle are the names. One of them is located on the interior of the castle mound has survived intact. Circulating around the middle of the mound a portion of the castle walls remain standing. Seljuk period saw the renewal in subsequent periods when the city came under the rule of Karamanoğulları'ndan city walls, was renewed. In 1465 the Ottomans were repairing the citadel again. This repair of structures that collapsed earlier in the inscriptions and architectural elements are used in the body walls of the castle. Bronze interior of the castle, Roman and Byzantine eras is located on a mound bearing traces. Round four of the five inner castle tower consists of nine, including four corners.
