The construction of the Grand Mosque in the Yenişehir neighborhood of Pendik district in Istanbul was completed on the 1st of Ramadan 1432 AH, thanks to the help of believers who fulfilled the Hadith of our beloved Prophet, "Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will grant him a palace in Paradise." The mosque occupies a 1600 m² footprint on a 12,000 m² plot of land. The Grand Mosque consists of three floors: a basement, the main prayer hall, and a mezzanine.
The Grand Mosque has a large dome with a radius of 7.60 m, 24 portico domes with a radius of 2.20 m, and 8 mezzanine domes with a radius of 5.00 m. The Grand Mosque can accommodate 5000 people for prayer simultaneously. The Yenişehir Grand Mosque, built in the Ottoman architectural style, features two minarets with balconies at its east and west corners, a wooden carved entrance door on the front facade, and two wooden carved entrance doors in the selamlık (reception) sections on the right and left sides where the open arcades are located. Construction will begin on a 187 m² basement structure on the northwest side of the mosque, containing toilets and ablution facilities for both men and women, with hot and cold water. Above this, a large ablution fountain with a radius of 4 meters, built in the style of Ottoman architecture with an octagonal dome, will be constructed.
The separate ablution fountains for men and women will accommodate 50 people simultaneously. On the northeast side of the mosque, there will be a smaller ablution fountain with a radius of 2.5 meters, featuring a dome and wooden carvings for the women's section. The mosque's garden will be enclosed by an iron-barred perimeter wall and will be landscaped with plants.
