Ölüdeniz (Dead Sea) and Babadağ (Father Mountain) Located in the Fethiye district of Muğla, Ölüdeniz is one of Turkey’s most renowned natural landmarks, celebrated for its turquoise lagoon, Belcekız Beach, and the mountainous coastal landscape that surrounds it. The Ölüdeniz Lagoon and the Kumburnu sandbar have become symbols of the region, defined by the distinctive sight of pine forests meeting the sea.
Rising immediately behind Ölüdeniz, Babadağ is a world-renowned paragliding hub. The mountain features launch sites suited to various altitudes and wind directions. During a flight, one can view not only the Ölüdeniz Lagoon and Belcekız but also the Fethiye coastline, surrounding bays, islands, and—given favorable weather conditions—even more distant locations. Flights launched from an altitude of approximately 2,000 meters offer visibility extending as far as Rhodes on clear days.
Ölüdeniz Paragliding – 360° Aerial Panorama
A paragliding flight from the high slopes of Babadağ down to the turquoise waters of Ölüdeniz offers one of the most spectacular ways to explore Fethiye’s unique coastal geography from the sky. Flights from Babadağ—a globally recognized paragliding center—provide expansive views of the Ölüdeniz Lagoon, Belcekız Beach, surrounding bays and mountains, and the Mediterranean coastline.
