The tomb of Sheikh Ahmed al-Jazari is located south of the mosque of the Red Madrasa in Cizre district of Şırnak province. The tomb, along with the madrasa, was built in the 15th century. Sheikh Ahmed al-Jazari was a famous poet who lived between 1404 and 1479.
The tomb is built of cut stone and has a square plan measuring 5.00 x 4.93 meters. Arches placed at the corners transform the square plan into an octagon. Access to the tomb is through the cells of the madrasa. The tomb is covered with a dome supported by pendentives.
The tomb contains the graves of Sheikh Ahmed al-Jazari and his relatives.
