Diyarbakir City Walls, those have been the eldest and the strongest city walls of the world, have the characteristic of being the second longest city wall following the Great Wall of China. The city walls, about 5 km-long, 10-12 meters-height and 3,5 meters width, are open to outward through 4 main doors. The reliefs, those are involving many epigraphs, double-headed eagle, tiger, bull, sun, star, horse, human being and scorpion symbols from various periods, have been decorating the city walls.
